INTRODUCING ANJA
A veteran of the entertainment industry for over a decade, Anja is driven by her passion to immerse herself in art, whether it’s in performing or visual arts.
She has modeled for fashion e-commerce, catalogues, and lifestyle brands, including MacLeods Scottish Shop, Sheertex Pantyhose, Lug Bags, Ukiyo Co yoga clothing, Singapore Airlines and many more. She also had appearances in music videos from artists like Kaur B or Andy Grammer and movies like Hawaa or The Navigator. Anja acted in TV series in Singapore and in Australian theatre productions on stage. The majority of her expertise is in numerous videos and commercials for brands like Siemens, HP laptops, Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma, Pinkberry, and Sabra Canada. As a hairstyling model, she worked at various hair education events for ghd hair and Oribe hair, with celebrity hair artists including Michael Beel, Alan White, and Joey George. Further, she was a model for a few artistic projects, for example, “The edge of the clouds” video art by Simin Keramati being showcased in galleries in Tehran, Iran, in August 2019. Also, she enjoys working with photography students and has been a model in various photography workshops with established photography teachers like Matt Granger or Peter Coulson. As an authority in her field, Anja has been a regular judge at Miss All Canadian pageants; she was joined on the judging panel by renowned titleholders and talent agents to select the Yorkgate Mall 2023, the All Canadian National Grand Finals 2021 and the All Canadian Rockstar Pageant 2019 winning titleholders. She’s been featured across a plethora of media, such as Gladys Magazine, Medium, Daily Style Entertainment, Moviegalleri, Firstshowz, VoyageLA, CanvasRebel, Thrive Global and more.
She received her formal art training at university in Germany, graduating with a bachelor's degree in art and design. There she studied a myriad of disciplines, to include illustration, drawing, advertising art, and design. In addition, she spent 6 months at Akademie voor Kunst en Vormgeving St. Joost in Breda, Netherlands. Following art school, she used to work part-time in the field of floor plan graphic illustrations but mainly focused on modeling and acting. For a year in 2009, she studied acting at the William Davis Centre for Actors Study in Vancouver, Canada. Well travelled, she lived for 7 years in Australia, 6 months in Singapore, and 7 years in Toronto, Canada, as a Canadian permanent resident, and now she is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Anja also completed a 3-year diploma in sports coaching, graduating in Sydney, Australia, in 2016. She is artistic and creative, expressing it while modeling internationally.
Because of the way the industry has changed during the pandemic, Anja put most of her energy and focus into creating content for a social media app called Bigo Live, contracted by a modeling agency. Similar like her own TV show, she gets creative hosting various broadcasts, talk shows, virtual fashion shows, live drawings, etc. She joined in March 2019, but only since the pandemic in March 2020 has she been in full force and focus, gaining popularity through large events on the platform. In July 2022, at that time based in Toronto, Canada, Anja got flown into the US and won the award Champion “Top 1 Broadcaster of North America” at the iconic Paramount Pictures in Hollywood for the BIGO Awards Gala 2022. This award is probably her biggest success to date. She received prize money, paid flights, accommodation, and a trophy. Anja placed in 2 Gala Awards before, winning "Global Host 2020 Shining Star Top 1" and "Global Host 2021 Popular Division Top 2" in the annual global BIGO Awards Gala. But due to Covid-19, those were held entirely virtually, so she felt honored to be flown into the US to accept her award on the stage of the iconic Paramount Pictures in Hollywood.
In 2024, she placed as "Regional Host North America Top 7" and got invited to the awards gala in Las Vegas at the Theatre des Arts at the Paris Hotel and posed for numerous pictures on the red carpet. At the 2025 awards ceremony, she was awarded "Top 4 Broadcaster of North America" and accepted her award at the prestigious Marina Bay Sands, Sands Theatre in Singapore. Her unparalleled performance has led to a series of honors and numerous accolades. Her recent accomplishments include being named one of the top 10 Bigo Icons of 2025, winning the 2025 Miss Bigo North America contest and her finalist placement in the prestigious Miss Bigo International pageant in Vietnam.
Anja is now a multiple award-winning Hall of Fame broadcaster, most recently receiving the award as the "Top 3 Style Icon of the Year in the Americas" (North and South America region) and the award as the "Top 5 Style Icon of the Year globally" at the annual 2026 BIGO Gala. The awards ceremony was held in Seoul, South Korea, and unfortunately, Anja couldn't travel and attend in person due to an ACL sport injury.
Anja is passionate about our environment and encourages reducing plastic waste, at least to not worsen marine plastic pollution, and to save our oceans.
